Dr. Saara Haapanen
BSc., MSc., PhD
Dr. Saara is a beaming beacon of positivity and an unparalleled source of motivational energy. Known for her high-octane enthusiasm and ADHD-fueled creativity, she helps clients transform their lives with approaches that are fun, engaging, and sustainable. Under her guidance, people learn how to make long-term changes without relying on quick-fix fads, restrictive diets, or trendy nonsense.
Her academic background and personal passions are firmly rooted in performance psychology, health promotion, and human movement. She earned a full athletic scholarship in diving while studying kinesiology, psychology, and health promotion. Later, she moved to Finland to pursue a Master’s in Sport and Exercise Psychology, diving for the Finnish National Team while training for the 2008 Olympics. Ranked 30th in the world, she was the first alternate for the Beijing Games—an experience that shaped her resilience, empathy, and motivation science expertise.
Dr. Saara has been coaching for over 26 years across three countries, working with professional athletes, executives, doctors, teachers, entrepreneurs, and fellow ADHDers. Having trained with Olympic-level coaches and athletes, she knows what truly drives peak performance. Her unique brain-and-body approach blends lived experience with cutting-edge science to help people thrive both professionally and personally.
As an internationally published researcher, her work spans motivation, psychological stress, coaching climates, and optimal human performance. She holds a PhD in Sport and Exercise Psychology, has served two terms on the Colorado Governor's Council for Active and Healthy Lifestyles, and has been featured in outlets such as Forbes Health, Shape, and Reader’s Digest.
What sets Dr. Saara apart is her ability to turn the challenges of ADHD into superpowers—like hyperfocus, contagious enthusiasm, and the ability to connect dots others miss. Whether she’s coaching a CEO, speaking to a room of hundreds, or helping an individual rediscover their energy, she brings both the science and the sparkle.
When she’s not working, you’ll find her gardening, renovating her home, or exploring Colorado (and beyond) with her husband and their two boxer dogs.
